Positive Finance

www.positivefinance.com

Positive Finance is a platform for financial education and sustainable investment analysis developed by MC Advisory CSR Società Benefit. The project was created with the goal of helping people better understand financial products, identify their sustainability preferences, and evaluate investments by balancing return, risk, and ESG factors.

The platform provides educational content, profiling questionnaires, research tools, and evaluation systems for mutual funds and ETFs. The methodology takes into account both financial aspects—such as performance, risk, and consistency of results—and the quality of the sustainability processes implemented by management companies and individual products.

Positive Finance positions itself as an independent entity with respect to the financial industry: it does not manage users’ money, does not sell financial products, and states that it does not receive compensation from asset management firms or organizations that issue sustainability labels. Its role is to provide information, analysis, and tools that enable investors to engage more knowledgeably with their bank or financial advisor.

Who is this for:

Positive Finance is primarily aimed at savers and individual investors who wish to:

  • gain a better understanding of financial principles and sustainability;
  • understand your sustainable investor profile;
  • identify funds that align with your financial goals and ESG preferences;
  • assess the financial quality and sustainability of its investments;
  • prepare for discussions with banks, brokers, and financial advisors.

The educational content is accessible to both first-time investors and users with more advanced knowledge. A specific section is also dedicated to financial professionals, who are offered ESG profiling services, portfolio analysis, risk management, and tools integrated with Robo4Advisor.

The Six Stages of the Positive Finance Journey

1. Learn

learn
The first module introduces the fundamental concepts of positive finance and sustainable investing. Users explore environmental, social, and good governance (ESG) factors, along with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), quality labels, and financial terminology. The section also includes courses, podcasts, and educational materials created or selected by international experts.

2. Discover

Find outThrough a questionnaire, users identify their “positive investor” profile. The profiling process takes into account the desired return, the acceptable level of risk, ethical motivations, and the ESG areas considered a priority. The result makes it possible to define the characteristics of the investments that are most consistent with the preferences expressed.

3. Explore

Explore
The platform guides users as they explore the world of sustainable funds. Investments can be analyzed based on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) themes, sustainable development goals, or by excluding controversial activities. This step allows users to directly align their personal priorities with the strategies employed by financial products.

4. Improve

improveUsers can determine whether a fund they own or are considering is a suitable option from both a financial and sustainability perspective. The system combines indicators related to risk, performance consistency, and ESG quality. Based on the results, the platform allows users to identify alternative products that may be more aligned with their investment objectives.

5. Check

This step expands the analysis from individual products to the entire portfolio. Users can assess the financial risk level, ESG quality, and overall consistency of their investments by comparing them with possible alternatives. The most advanced portfolio analysis features are available after registering on the platform.

6. Take Action

Take actionBy the end of the program, investors will have the knowledge and analysis needed to engage more effectively with their bank or financial advisor. The platform helps them prepare for the meeting, understand their rights, assess costs and risks, and request that their ESG preferences be taken into account in the proposals they receive. The goal is to foster a more transparent and informed relationship with financial professionals.
